A Fond Farewell

Hi Alumni family
If you haven't heard already, we just had the best reunion ever. It was five days of amazing concerts, sports, workshops, church etc but most of all a time to be with each other and celebrate 50 wonderful years of Church College.

I hope those of you that travelled arrived home safely and for many days to come share your experiences with those who were unable to attend. I hope that those of you who attended will never forget the spirit that was on campus that weekend.

As part of my last newsletter to you all I want to publically thank Richard Ball - I could not have asked for a more steady and loyal Vice President, Reunion Committee Chairman and friend to work with. Thank you too Paula for sharing your sweetheart with us.

A big thanks must go to Benji Hemi our Events Manager who spent countless hours over the past months planning this event with Richard. While we were all enjoying the weekends activities, Benji was in the back making sure everything was working so we could. Thanks also to your wife Irene for sharing you with us and I hope you and your family enjoy a well deserved break next week.

Thanks also to members of the Alumni Board, the reunion committee, the many volunteers who helped and the Church College administration, staff and students. The job of catering for 3,000 was truly a team effort.

I can imagine those that attended would be scratching their head to figure out one single highlight. For me it was being with my sweetheart and eternal friend Tweetie and enjoying the weekend. She did not attend Church College, but Church College is in her heart. I want to publically thank her for her love and support over the past 5 years as I served you all.

Your new president is Moses Armstrong and his Vice president is Phillip MacDonald. I know these men personally and know they will do a great job leading us by example into a new era.

For me, though a vacation now would be great, like many of you it's back to work, family and commitments.

May I leave my love with you all as I now look forward to receiving these newsletters from Moses and continue to be be involved where ever I can.

Remember our motto is: "Build Now For Eternity"
